The Shawn Carter Foundation has partnered with Bridges to Wealth (B2W) to bring financial literacy workshops to inner city communities and to develop the wealth building capacity of Shawn Carter scholars and alumni. B2W is an innovative financial empowerment program focused on students, parents and local community partners to emphasize the importance of equal access to financial education, services and opportunities. Developed at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, B2W utilizes a strategic curriculum to promote generational wealth among underserved communities. Although the partnership currently focuses on communities in the Philadelphia and New York City areas, the goal is to expand our collective efforts nationwide in order to educate the nation’s future entrepreneurs, students, teachers, and wealth owners.
