Five Shawn Carter Foundation scholars completed a 7-week intensive internship and received financial support as part of the inaugural class of Josh Dubin Fellows. We are so proud of our SCF scholars and Dubin Fellows who were tasked with devising creative ideas for case strategy, writing petitions to Governor Kathy Hochul, and spearheading a presentation to the Queens County DA to free Bruce Bryant, an innocent man serving life in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. The fellows also had the opportunity to visit Bruce at Sing Sing correctional facility.
We are pleased to share that the 2022 Cohort of SCF Dubin Fellows played an integral role in the clemency of Bruce Bryant. To learn more please visit here.
