A law that has significantly impacted my life is the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, as well as a handful of state laws, which ensure that youth experiencing homelessness have equal access to education. Thanks to the McKinney-Vento Act, I was allowed to stay at my high school rather than transferring to my neighborhood school.
