HBCU Bus Tour

The annual Historically Black College and University Bus Tour exposes aspiring college students to the world of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in order to promote increased college attendance at these institutions of higher learning.

Workshops

HBCU BUS TOUR Candidates are required to attend a series of preparatory workshops to strengthen their prospects for college admission.

Requirements

HBCU Bus Tour Eligibility Requirements

Junior in High School

Currently enrolled as a high school junior

Minimum 2.0 GPA

Demonstrated academic commitment

ACT or SAT

Must have taken the test at least once by end of December

Strong Interest in HBCUs

Motivation and desire to attend an HBCU

Learning and Growing

Committed to personal and academic development

Community Service

Has conducted or cares to give back to community

EXTRACURRICULAR INTERESTS

In sports, arts, culture, music, dance, or civic engagement

School Referral

From a teacher, administrator, or principal
